FREDERICK, Maryland—The Potters’ Guild of Frederick will display its 10th Anniversary Exhibition Oct. 20 through Nov. 17 in Hood College’s Whitaker Campus Center Gallery.
The Potters’ Guild is holding this exhibit to commemorate a decade of community service and the promotion of the ceramic arts in Frederick. The show will feature functional and sculptural ceramics by local potters including several Hood College faculty, staff, students and alumni.
The Potters’ Guild of Frederick was founded in 2007 with the mission of promoting high standards in both expressive and functional ceramic art, to exchange ideas, provide educational opportunities in the ceramic arts, stimulate community interest, and provide a sales venue for its members. With more than 25 members, the ceramic artists in the Guild represent a wide variety of styles from functional pottery to sculptural ceramic works.
The Potters’ Guild holds monthly meetings and has a permanent gallery space in Downtown Frederick at 14 S. Market St.
An opening reception will be held Oct. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, contact Jenna Gianni at email@example.com.
