Welcome to the Hood College Office of Financial Aid

The mission of the Office of Financial Aid is to help students and their families develop a financial plan to make a Hood College education affordable.

Our staff of financial aid professionals have assembled the resources on the Web site to help you understand the process of applying and the components that could be included in a financial aid award.

A combination of scholarships, grants, loans and campus work make a Hood education affordable for many students.

In Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine, Hood College is one of only 50 private colleges and universities—which include MIT, Duke, Yale and Johns Hopkins—that qualify as “best values.” Hood is also ranked year after year by U.S. News & World Report as a “Great School at a Great Price,” noting Hood’s academic quality and generous merit- and need-based financial support for students.

Please remember that our priority application deadline is February 15. You are highly encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by that date to receive full consideration for grants.

If you need additional assistance, call the Office of Financial Aid at (301) 696-3411 or e-mail us at finaid@hood.edu.
