Welcome to Hood College!

Each year, a large number of students choose to transfer to Hood College.

We have tried to make the process of having your previous college transcripts evaluated quickly so you will have a semester-by-semester roadmap of courses you still need to complete.

Hood College encourages transfer students to quickly become a part of the Hood community. We begin with an orientation program to acclimate you to campus services, facilities, faculty, and your fellow students. You will immediately feel at home on the campus.

As a transfer, you will benefit from studying with a dedicated faculty in a small class setting. You will be able to work with our career center to arrange an internship or job interview. Being located in Frederick, Maryland and its proximity to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, students have many opportunities for career exploration.
