Hood College President Ronald Volpe

Welcome from President Volpe

Thanks for visiting Hood College on the World Wide Web.

Hood is a very special place. Among its strengths are an extraordinarily dedicated and qualified faculty who teach in our 27 undergraduate majors and 14 master's degree programs. All of our classes are taught on Hood's beautiful 50-acre campus in historic Frederick, Md. Our new state-of-the-art Hodson Science and Technology Center allows students to integrate the laboratory and lecture components of their work and allows the faculty to include students in advanced scientific research.

Situated in the historic city of Frederick, Md., Hood is strategically located in the prime mid-Atlantic triangle of Frederick, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Hood's undergraduate students enjoy off-campus opportunities through our internship resources in cultural, government, research, high technology, service and manufacturing sectors.

Our active alumnae and alumni network helps students develop contacts and explore career fields.

As a prospective student or visitor, you'll find many of your questions about Hood answered on our Web site. Please take time to explore and find out all that Hood College has to offer. I hope you enjoy this virtual visit and that you are able to visit us in person soon.
